═══━━━─── • ───━━━═══

Have you ever picked out tomorrow’s outfit, only to wake with a change of heart? Suddenly you feel your morning screech to a halt. In a panic, you start frantically tearing through clothes seeking a replacement. This type of stressful last minute outfit change is unfortunately quite common as we transition seasons. What on Monday is humid and warm could be overcast and wind-chilled by Tuesday. But unlike our change of heart, a well-prepared summer to fall closet will save you from the stress and headache.

Mastering a summer to fall wardrobe means having a closet filled with outfits that transition weather, as well as seasons. The end result is a completely unrestricted closet. And no, it’s not magic. The key to mastering a stylist-worthy closet is versatility. Every piece should have the ability to be worn in any weather – given a few changes. All you need? A few basic or statement pieces. There are endless options! We recommend choosing staples that can work with multiple outfits. Whether casual cowboy boots or dramatic floor-length capes catch your eye, choose staples that reflect your personal style.

Packing up your summer dresses? Wait! You might be getting rid of a fabulous fall wardrobe!

We loved our summer dresses. They kept us looking carefree and feeling cool all season. Unfortunately they can be completely impractical for fall. But not with a bit of creative reuse! When we upcycle our garments, we take pieces that are out of season, or no longer fashionable, and repurpose them into something even better – and stylish!

Upcycling is easy. With a little ingenuity and use of your fashionista eye, the possibilities are almost endless. If you’re unsure where to start – don’t worry! Here are our 2 favorite ways to upcycle to get you inspired.

into separates

•• ━━━━━ ••●•• ━━━━━ ••

make your new summer to fall look even trendier by adding a front knot. find a top you love that’s either slightly longer than your waistline or a size larger. after putting the top on, gather up the lower portion of the top so half of the material is in your left hand, and the other half in your right. directly underneath your chest, tie together both sides of the material to form a knot. if you have the extra length, tie it twice. once knotted, turn the knot inside your top for a finished look or leave exposed for something more casual. we love pairing our sleeveless laney and polka dot marley with a knotted ¾ sleeve solid shirt. instant date night classics!
